Rules and regulations on submitting a request for your message to be listed on the AWF Events sign located on the corner of Route 30 North and Main Street:

1)     The message must NOT be of a political or commercial nature.

2)     You can not request a message deemed to be an advertisement.

3)     Your message must be for an event that will be in the City of Amsterdam This condition can not be waived for any reason due to conditions on the grant that paid for the sign.

4)     Events at Riverlink Park will have precedence over other messages approved for the sign.

5)  The event can NOT be for a for-profit event.  The event can be for a not-for-profit group (fundraiser, concert, tag sale, etc.) or for a civic event or city sponsored event, school fundraiser, etc.  Events sponsored by a business or for-profit groups do not qualify, even if partial proceeds go to charity/.  This condition can not be waived for any reason due to conditions on the grant that paid for the sign.

6)     Any request will be evaluated by the Amsterdam Waterfront Foundation, and the foundation has final decision on any message request.

7)     All requests must be made through the Amsterdam Waterfront Foundation, on the form below.  No other organization or government body has authority to grant permission for authorization of a message on the sign.

8)     Messages will be updated on a weekly or semi-weekly basis, or when necessary and when personnel is available, and there is no guarantee expressed or implied that the sign will be updated with your message before your event is held. Please note that during the months of November, December, January and February, message updates will only be done once a month during the first week of that month, weather permitting. There will be no other updates during these months.

9)  Messages can not be of a personal nature.  We will not honor "Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary or other personal nature messages.  The only time a message like this will be allowed would be to acknowledge the city or non-profit organization with a milestone anniversary, example: "Happy Anniversary Centro Civico - 20 Years serving our community!"

Please fill out the form below in its entirety for your request to be evaluated for inclusion on the sign.  Failure to fill out the entire request may invalidate your request to include your message.  Please note that messages are updated manually to the sign and approval of the request will not guarantee that the message will be immediately updated on the sign.

Also note that there can be at any given time in excess of 50 or more messages queued for display on the sign.  With the average message showing for 20 seconds each, it could take up to 30 minutes for a complete cycle of messages.  All messages automatically time out at midnight on the day of the event.
